PALESTINE AIRLETTER SHEET with Haifa first day postmark, May 16, 1948, addressed to London. Has 10m Minhelet Ha'am stamp affixed but not cancelled. M.H. stamps were not acceptable for use outside of Israel. (Not necessary as the Mandate stamp was accepted for use on the first day of the state of Israel). The letter dated May 12, 1948 Kiryat Amal, and speaks of the disturbances near the kibbutz, and that of her doing guard duty (and hopes for Peace soon to the Jewish state). Photo.
